This is for those of you out there who knew me when my love of horses really started

Do you remember when my Grammy Linda and Papa Jim first got their Quarter horses? Can you also remember that shortly after that I said, " I have now decided that I want a horse! I have also decided that my horse is going to be a mare, she is going to be a quarter horse, she is going to be black and her name is going to be Jasmine!" Can you remember those times . . . . . . . those were the times that I knew probably half of a one-thousandth of all the knowledge about horses. I still have alot to lean now, but that's not the point! To find ALL of those aspects in one horse is very difficult! Those were the days where I thought that I could re-name a horse that has already had a name for how ever many years, those were the days that I thought that I could handle and take care of a new born horse! These days I know alot more about horses, and I have found a new favorite color in a horse! I have recently discovered that I really love buckskin horses! I found that out because since we have moved, Natalie has changed her gymnastics gym. And every day as we are going to drop her off, we go by the big red barn that has a small herd of horse in the pasture right next to the road. In that small herd is a beautiful buckskin horse with a long, black mane and tail! So I have now decided that in all the years to come of me owning a horse { or horses} I would like to have a buckskin at some point of time. That does not mean that my first horse has to be a buckskin, any good horse will do good for that job!

Yea! You're blogging again!
Emily, I just love how you have grown in your knowledge of horses. I hope that at sometime in your life you will be a horse owner. It might be a while yet, but I know that if you ever have that opportunity, you'll make a great horse-woman! Hopefully, soon, you'll meet someone who has horses and you'll have the opportunity to be around them.
Thanks for the kitten ad. I still think I'll just stick with Duncan and the neighbor's cat for now. I don't know if I can handle 3 of them. Sammy eats all the food as it is!

Didn't you have an imaginary horse even way before Papa went horse crazy? Most kids have imaginary friends, but you had an imaginary horse when you were 2.
